WICF Indoor Cricket World Cup | Melbourne, Australia | 10 – 17 October 2020 | Postponed until September/ October 2021 |
As the World Cup has now been postponed until September/ October 2021, the Senior Provincial Championships will be postponed until next year accordingly.
The WICF Junior World Series is being considered to be held next year at this stage. Please refer to the WICF Statement here (Click here to view).
At this stage, the Board has deferred a decision on our last two events for the year, the Masters and National Club Championships until there is greater clarity following the end of the lockdown period. To ensure we make an informed decision regarding these events, we have created a short survey for all potential participants – please refer to the survey link below:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SC8DCFV
It would be much appreciated if the above survey link could be dispersed to all potential participants that were expected to partake in either event this year. The survey will be open for the next two weeks with a decision to be made on whether these tournaments will take place later this year or deferred to next year. We expect to make this decision during May 2020 after the lockdown period comes to an end and when there is greater clarity on the overall situation.
It is a disappointing result for everyone in the Indoor Cricket community, however, we extend our thoughts to our centres who are doing it the toughest at the moment in these circumstances.
We hope you and your families all stay safe, and we are hopeful of seeing you all at one of our events later this year.
