The New Zealand Under-22 Girls side to play Australia in the five-match Trans-Tasman International series this September was announced at the Senior Provincial Championships presentation dinner in Palmerston North this past weekend. The tournament serves as a precursor for the selection of New Zealand teams.

The Under-22 Girls team last played Australia in a bilateral series at Port Macquarie, New South Wales in 2016. They last featured in any form at the 2017 World Cup in the UAE.
Three players return from that World Cup side including Lucy King, Madison Curran and Saffron Wilson.
There will be seven debutants in the line-up but a number of those players featured for New Zealand Under-17 Girls’ sides at the Junior World Series last year including Marama Downes, Kate Fenton, Gemma Adams, Amie Hucker and Breezy Illing whilst all players turned out in the Premier Women’s grade at the recently concluded Senior Provincial Championships.
The team will assemble in camp on 8 September for the series which takes place from 12-14 September at the Palmerston North Indoor Sports Arena in Palmerston North.
